This is one of the most amazing arrangements of any song.  I loved singing it in the choir at my former church and have been trying to find it for ages!  Thank you.

All of These

Thank you so much for your ministry to people through music. The words to this song, ‘Do Not I Love Thee’, have such a powerful message. May this be our prayer each and every day.

Product Description

A best-seller, this is a soulful black gospel arrangement of the classic song. It opens quietly with an optional solo and builds from there to the end.

Lyrics

O beautiful for spacious skies
For amber waves of grain.
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain

America! America! God shed His grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife
Who more than self, their country loved
And mercy more than life

America! America! God may God thy gold refine
Til all success be nobleness
And every gain divine.

O beautiful for patriot dream
That see beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears.

America! America! God shed His grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.

The land I love, America!

Dedication: to the rescue workers of 9/11 and the 2005 hurricanes
Background Info: As I was arranging this song in anticipation of the fifth anniversary of 9/11, a series of hurricanes, including Hurricane Katrina, hit the southeast U.S. I was so amazed to watch live rescues by the U.S. Coast Guard on TV from the safety and comfort of my home. To me, these men and women exemplify the line from the song, "O beautiful for heroes proved in liberating strife, who more than self their country loved and mercy more than life."
