This is one of the most amazing arrangements of any song.  I loved singing it in the choir at my former church and have been trying to find it for ages!  Thank you.

Such a beautiful song. This has been playing in my heart and my mind all day everyday. Thank you very much Mr. Craig Curry for this song. May your light shine for God’s glory. Let His glory shine forever more!

All of These

Thank you so much for your ministry to people through music. The words to this song, ‘Do Not I Love Thee’, have such a powerful message. May this be our prayer each and every day.

Product Description

With a somber and somewhat mournful tone, this anthem would be a good choice for use during Holy Week or Communion. The text by Paul Williams, is written from the angels' perspective as they watch the events of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday unfold. The anthem ends with a personal application by gently quoting the hymn "I Stand Amazed": "How marvelous, how wonderful is my Savior's love for me."

Lyrics

Angels looked down and saw Gethsemane
They saw God's Son in prayer
Angels looked down and heard His loving plea
They watched Him kneeling there
They heard Him ask His Father
"Is there any other way?"
Angels looked down and wondered as He prayed.

Angels looked down and gazed at Calvary
They saw God's Son alone
Angels looked down and heard His final plea
They heard His somber groan
They heard Him ask His Father
"Why have You forsaken me?"
Angels looked down and saw Him on a tree.

They knew He was the Son of God
And knew He was not afraid
But they could never understand
The choice that Jesus made.

How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Savior's love for me.
