This is one of the most amazing arrangements of any song.  I loved singing it in the choir at my former church and have been trying to find it for ages!  Thank you.

Everlasting God

Such a beautiful song. This has been playing in my heart and my mind all day everyday. Thank you very much Mr. Craig Curry for this song. May your light shine for God’s glory. Let His glory shine forever more!

All of These

Thank you so much for your ministry to people through music. The words to this song, ‘Do Not I Love Thee’, have such a powerful message. May this be our prayer each and every day.

Product Description

This is a rollicking anthem that never quits! If you have an alto soloist who can "wail" this is a piece for you! The choral parts lend energy and support to the soloist but are not difficult to learn. If you enjoy the music of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir this is very much in the same vein. (except it has a real bass part!)

Lyrics

I know you've had some trouble in this life
I know sometimes the road gets so long
But I know our God is walking right with you
Yes He is
And He'll give you all the strength
Oh yes, He'll give you all the strength
He'll give you all the strength you need to carry on.

So--
Count it all joy when you're faced with trials
Count it all joy when you're faced with pain
Count it all joy and a stronger faith will remain
Count it all joy for this present suffering
Can't be compared with the joy to come
In all these things we are more than conquerors
So count it, count it all joy.

Let us look to Jesus (oh yes) the Author of our faith (for joy)
Who for the sake of the joy set before Him endured the cross (despising its shame)
So let us not grow weary in the face of discipline (beloved children)
Our Father is training us how to win!

(chorus)

Count it! (We know that all things work together)
Count it! (for the good of those who love God)
Count it! (Nothing can ever separate us)
Count it! (From God's mighty love in Jesus)
Count it! (Neither life, nor death, nor angels)
Count it! (Things present or things to come)

Count it all joy when you're faced with trials
Count it all joy when you're faced with pain
Count it all joy and a stronger faith will remain (watch your faith grow stronger!)
Count it all joy for this present suffering
Can't be compared with the joy to come
In all these things we are more than conquerors
So count it, count it all joy, nothing but joy!

Count it! (Oh glory, hallelujah)
Count it! (The Lamb of God is worthy)
Count it! (O count on my Jesus)
Count it! (Yes, even in your sorrow)
Count it! (vocal ad-libs)

Count it all joy! (You can count it, won't you count it all)
Count it all joy!

Publisher Code: A 7458
Instrumental Parts Code: LB5612 (alto sax/tenor sax/2tpts/2tbns/bass/drums)

Background Info: The piece is dedicated to fellow composer and good friend, Patti Drennan, who loves black gospel music and sings a mean alto. Another fun little tidbit: The soloist on this demo recording is a good friend of mine from my days at the University of Miami. I found out, after the fact, that she had been hired for the session in Orlando, but I am very glad we had the opportunity to once again "collaborate". (Great job, Michelle!)
